Philosophy and Goals
Through a caring and active approach, Mother Hubbard 's Learning Center will place emphasis on a child's total development, including intellectual and social well-being. We provide an atmosphere where children are safe and encouraged to try new adventures. We encourage self-discipline and self-actualization through structured play and creative learning centers. Children will be exposed to learning centers such as art, math, science, reading, language arts, and dramatic play. We embrace all races and social backgrounds and believe we are all connected through our differences as well as similarities. We are inclusive of children with special needs and will make adaptations to ensure full inclusion of all children in everyday routines and activities. We believe that a child's learning experience is broadened by the relationships between the parents, children, and providers. We encourage parent involvement and want to understand your concerns as a parent about your child's educational experience.
Open Door Policy
Mother Hubbard 's Learning Center maintains an open-door policy during childcare hours. However, all doors will be locked as a safety precaution. Teachers are available for conferences before and after working hours if there is an issue that needs to be discussed outside of regular scheduled conference dates.
Inclusion of Children with Special Needs
Mother Hubbard 's Learning Center accepts children with special needs and will make adaptations to ensure full inclusion of the children in everyday routines and activities. Guidance about recommended adaptations and any procedures necessary to ensure that the children's health, safety, and inclusion will be solicited from the child's family, medical and or educational services currently provided for the child and their family.
